Head of Facilities and Security

As Copenhagen International School’s Head of Facilities, I’m responsible for all aspects of the school in terms of maintenance, sustainability, and security. If it’s not working, it’s my job to fix it. Before working at CIS, I had an extensive career in the Danish Army. This gave me an excellent foundation for my future and allowed me to develop characteristics that have proved useful in all aspects of life, my role at CIS included!

Following my twenty-four years in the army, I then worked for the Danish Olympic Committee for two years and then spent 11 years at Niels Brock Business High School. As a result, it’s safe to say that I’m well-rounded and experienced in all aspects of my role here… and it’s a role I can wholeheartedly say I enjoy.

Since my younger days, I’ve always set goals for myself and made sure I did everything in my power to achieve them. My favorite saying is by Lucius Annaeus Seneca, the Ancient Roman philosopher: “It is not because things are difficult that we do not dare, it is because we do not dare that they are difficult.” I like to apply this to my own life, and I’d say that it is through this philosophy that I’ve been able to achieve all of the goals I’ve set for myself.

For me, I love being a part of Copenhagen International School. I’m proud to be a part of such a fantastic organization and I feel a strong affiliation with the entire CIS community. When I’m not working, I love sport. I’m a football coach and also play tennis. I also love traveling to Greece, a place that I would consider my second country!
