Beyond the Game Camp
For ages 8–12
Creative expression through sport
Are you ready to rethink what sports can mean? This summer, join us for an innovative two-week camp that redefines sports as more than just traditional games. In “Beyond the Game: Exploring Sports and Physical Expression,” we’ll dive into the endless ways we can move, create, and connect through physical activity. With a main goal of having FUN!

What happens at Beyond The Game Camp?
This design is to expand the idea of sports to encompass all forms of physical expression. Over the two weeks and daily lessons, students will explore:
- Play and Innovation: Invent your own games! Use what you know, explore things you are curious about. Combine creativity and strategy to design activities that are both fun and physically engaging.
- Creative Teamwork: Explore unconventional team sports like ultimate frisbee, relay-based games, and collaborative obstacle courses.
- Mind-Body Connection: Through mindfulness techniques one will learn to understand how physicality enhances mental clarity.
- Cultural Expressions: Dive into the sports and physical traditions of cultures worldwide.
- The Art of Movement: From dance to gymnastics, discover how physical movement tells a story and expresses emotion.
Outside Play:
In addition to structured activities, students will spend some time each day enjoying the outdoors. This is their chance to practice what they’ve learned, connect with peers, and embrace the joy of free movement under the “hopeful” summer sun. And on some occasions, there may be water involved!
There are also opportunities to go on field trips or excursions to different places (soccer field, park, zoo, beach and more…).
