Future Planning at CIS

Exploring options after graduation

At Copenhagen International School, our Future Planning Counsellors support students as they explore life after CIS. This includes guidance on university and college applications around the world, help with personal statements and essays, and advice on alternative educational pathways such as gap years, vocational studies, or specialised training.

We also work with students to think more broadly about their next steps, including career interests, internships, and ways to build the skills and experiences that align with their goals. Our aim is to ensure every student feels prepared, informed, and confident as they plan their future, whatever direction they choose to take.

Meet our future planning counsellors

Our Future Planning Counsellors, Kari Oelkers, Erin Huber, and Zarin Kapadia work with students from Grades 9 to 12 to guide and support them through every stage of their planning journey.

Kari, Erin and Zarin help students explore a wide range of opportunities for life after CIS, including summer school programmes, university and college applications, and alternative education or training options. They offer personalised advice on where and how to apply, assist with personal statements and essays, and provide insight into career paths and future possibilities.

Their shared goal is to help each student discover the path that fits them best and to ensure they leave CIS ready to take their next step with confidence and purpose.
