Kindergarten: Learning about Pesach (Passover) and Israel’s Independence day

“KC learned about the Passover or Pesach. It is a seven-day celebration that commemorates the freeing of the Israelites,” says Nina. “We learned that because the Israelites had no time to let their bread rise as they hurriedly left Egypt, Jewish law forbids eating any food that contains leavened grains. Dale´s mom shared a story of Moses freeing the Israelites after many different plagues, through the parting of the sea. We tried the special cracker - matzah, that is allowed to be eaten, made our Israeli flag, and enjoyed a treat to celebrate Israel's Independence Day.”
