Ghana trivia night: “We raised a lot of money”

“The charity club is one of the oldest clubs that has been running at our school over the years. We work with the talented women’s group in Ghana, in a small village which helps women get micro-credit loans to help them start businesses, therefore help grow the economy and help women support their families, giving their children better nutrition, better food and a better start to life,” explains 12th grader Iona.

“Every year we run different initiatives. This time we ran a trivia night for staff and parents, which would normally be held in the school but due to COVID we organised a virtual trivia night. Teams donated money to take part, held raffles and we had products from Ghana for sale, which all raised money for the cause. The teams were all in their houses and it was a nice and cosy atmosphere. Teams all had a great time and Iona and I had a great time hosting it and we are happy to say we raised money for a great cause,” says a happy and proud Tom.
