In the month of February,  we are still stuck in this never-ending pandemic. Quarantine has us currently staying at home all day long, watching all types of streaming platforms such as Netflix, HBO and Amazon Prime. We will be checking out some new movies that came out this month and Top 10 TV shows being streamed now. We will also look into current music and check out the February billboards.

Some new movies that came out this month with positive ratings are:

 

Tom and Jerry

Released: February 26th

Description: Comedy/Adventure/Family

One of the most known shows for kids is back with a movie. Jerry moves into New York City’s finest hotel on the eve of “the wedding of the century,” where a desperate planner of the wedding hires Tom to get rid of him. Tom tries to get rid of Jerry but soon, an even bigger problem arises which goes against all three of them. Now available on HBO MAX.

 

 

Space Sweepers

Released: February 5th

Description: Fantasy/Science Fiction/Drama

When the crew of a space junk collector ship called “The Victory” discovers a humanoid robot named Dorothy that’s known to be a weapon of mass destruction, they get involved in risky business that puts their lives at stake. Now available on Netflix.

 

Fear of Rain

Released: February 12th

Description: Thriller/Drama/Horror

A teenage girl living with schizophrenia begins to suspect that her neighbor has kidnapped a child. Her parents try desperately to help her live a normal life, without exposing their own secrets, and the only person who believes the girl is Caleb (a boy who maybe doesn’t exist). Now available in the cinemas and on Amazon Prime.

 

My Zoe

Released: February 26th

Description: Drama/Narrative

A recently divorced scientist Isabelle struggles to be a co-parent of her daughter Zoe with her argumentative ex. But when Zoe suffers an unexpected brain haemorrhage and is put on life support, Isabelle comes up with a plan to keep some version of her daughter alive. This is now available on HBO GO.

 

Safer at Home

Released: February 26th

Description: Thriller/Mystery

Two years into the pandemic, a group of friends throw an online party with a night of games, drinking and drugs. After taking an ecstasy pill, things go terribly wrong and the safety of their home becomes more terrifying than the raging chaos outside. Available now on DVD and it streams on iTunes.

 

To All the Boys: Always and Forever

Released: February 12th

Description: Comedy/Romance/Drama

Lara Jean, now in her senior year of high school, returns from a family trip to Korea and considers her college plans which will be with or without her boyfriend Peter. This is now available on Netflix.

 

I Care a Lot

Released: February 19th

Description: Comedy/Crime/Thriller

A court-appointed legal guardian defrauds her older clients and traps them under her care.,but her latest mark comes with some unexpected baggage. It is now available on Netflix and Amazon Prime depending on the region you live in.

 

Bliss

Released: February 19th

Description: Science Fiction/Romance

A mind-bending love story following Greg who, after recently being divorced and then fired from his job, meets a mysterious woman Isabel who is living on the streets and is convinced that the polluted and broken world around them is just a computer simulation. Doubtful at first, Greg eventually discovers there may be some truth to Isabel’s wild conspiracy. Now available on Amazon Prime.

 

Next, here are the Top 10 TV series now streaming on Netflix, beginning with: 

1. Firefly Lane

Tully and Kate meet as young girls on Firefly Lane and become inseparable friends throughout 30 years of ups and downs. This series has currently 1 season.

2. iCarly

Carly and her friend Sam hold auditions for their school’s talent show while Freddy, a geek, records it and uploads it online. The recording becomes internet famous and turns into the iCarly webcast. Now available on the US version of Netflix, with only 2 seasons out for now.

 

3. The Sinner

Detective Harry Ambrose investigates various atrocious murder cases and tries to analyse the reasons behind ordinary people committing heinous crimes. This series has 3 seasons out.

4. Bridgerton

Set during the Regency era in England, this story follows eight close-knit siblings of the powerful Bridgerton family who attempt to find love. This has only 1 season for now, but a second season is underway. 

 

5. Cocomelon

Cocomelon started as an American YouTube channel. It specializes in 3D animation videos of both traditional nursery rhymes and their own original children’s. Now on Netflix, there are 2 seasons out.

 

6. Jenni Rivera: Mariposa de Barrio

Jenni Rivera: Mariposa de Barrio, la serie, or simply Mariposa de Barrio, is an American biographical telenovela based on the autobiography Unbreakable authored by Jenni Rivera before her death and was published posthumously in July 2013. This currently has 1 season.

 

7. Go Dog Go

A pup Tag chases adventure with her best pal, Scooch, solving problems and helping the citizens of Pawston along the way. Now it has 1 season and is suitable for kids. 

 

8. Henry Danger

Henry Hart, a thirteen-year-old boy, works secretly as Kid Danger, a sidekick to superhero Captain Man. He must protect his own exploits from being discovered by his family and friends. It has 5 seasons and further production has now been cancelled. Now it’s streaming on Netflix to watch.

 

9. Invisible City

Investigating a murder, a detective is drawn into a battle between the visible world and an underground realm inhabited by magical creatures. Currently, it has 1 season.

 

10. Gabby’s Dollhouse

This kids show features adorable cat characters living inside Gabby’s dollhouse. Has currently only 1 season.
