What should my Pre-Kindergarten child buy/bring to school?

Equipment List for Pre-kindergarten 1&2

Please ensure your child has the following items. Please send each item to school clearly labelled with your child’s name.

2 complete changes of clothes
Please include underclothes, shirt, trousers and socks.

Rain gear (rain pants, rain jacket and rain boots). We go outside daily as part of our program in all weather, for a minimum of one hour.

20 kr.
Please give to classroom teachers for a mindful ‘Quiet Time’ pillow.

Water bottle with child’s name
Please send a water bottle your child can open independently. The water bottle needs to be taken home each day to be cleaned and refilled.

Slippers with rubber soles and back
These slippers should be easy for your child to take on and off. They will be used for indoor wear and need to be able to stay on their feet.

2 boxes of tissues for use throughout the year

Physical education shoes
Please purchase “børne gymnastic/balance sko” shoes for your child from a sports shop (eg. Sportsmaster, Sportigan, Intersport). In P.E. the children typically wear them without socks.

Snack box and lunch box
Please provide one snack box with a healthy snack (i.e. fruit and/or vegetable) and another separate lunch box with a healthy lunch.

 

 

What should my Kindergarten child buy/bring to school?

Please ensure your child has the following items. Please send each item to school clearly labelled with your child’s name.

Indoor sports shoes: Non-marking shoes.

Rain clothes: We go out in all weather. Jacket, trousers and rain boots labelled with your child’s name. No umbrellas.

Spare set of clothing appropriate for the season: Underclothes, shirt, trousers, and socks labelled with your child’s name.

Snack box and lunch box: Please provide one snack box with a healthy snack, and another separate lunch box with a healthy lunch.

Labelled, reusable water bottle.

Copenhagen International School blue bag: Provided at the start of school for new students, returning students should bring their previous year’s bag with them to school.

Box of tissues

*Cubby space is limited, so do not bring big school bags or backpacks with wheels to school.

 

What should my 1st Grade child buy/bring to school?

Please ensure your child has the following items. Please send each item to school clearly labelled with your child’s name.

A small water bottle
A labelled lunch box
A box/container for your child’s daily snack
Indoor shoes (no laces, non-fabric soles)
Indoor athletic shoes (must not have a black sole)
Rain gear (waterproof jacket, pants/trousers and boots.) We go out in all weather!
An extra set of clothes (underwear, socks, pants, shirt)
Headphones
Pencil case with pencils and coloured pencils
A recorder for music

Students will be expected to wear PE clothing to school on PE days, so they can participate fully and safely.

My child is in BRIDGES. What should we buy/bring to school?

CIS ‘BRIDGES’ Supply List 

Below is a list of items your child will need from the first day of school to bring and to keep at school. Please write your child’s name on everything. It helps us to help them find and keep their things organised.

  1. Two (2) full sets of extra clothing (include underclothes, shirts, pants and socks) to be kept at school. Please check and update your child’s spare clothes regularly and according to the season.
  2. A full set of rain gear (rain pants, rain jacket and rain boots). We go outside in all weather​; snowsuits, hats and gloves will be required in colder months.
  3. Comfortable slippers for indoors that stay on children’s feet (indoor shoes). Children should be able to independently put these on easily.
  4. Two boxes of wet/ baby wipes​.
  5. A reusable bottle of water (to be brought home everyday for washing), that your child can open independently.
  6. A pair of headphones​ that is comfortable for your child to use with computers.
  7. A package of play dough​.
  8. PE shoes ​to be kept at school in a cloth back that your child will carry to the gym.
  9. A set of family pictures to share with the team, as this will help us to establish conversations with your child about your family.
  10. Every school day: a healthy snack ​in a separate container, and a lunch box​, ​that your child can open independently.
